Seneca Street, NYS Route 16, is ready for improve-ments. The Larkin District envisions a full roadway reconstruction project, including new sidewalks, street-scape amenities, and a new Larkin traffic circle at Seneca Street’s intersection with Smith and Fillmore Streets that joins the north and south portions of a restored and augmented Buffalo Olmsted Park and Parkway System.

The renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted planned a parkway connection through the district to link the North and South sections of the Buffalo Olmsted Park and Parkway System. The location of the proposed new circle is at the intersection of Smith, Seneca and Fillmore Streets.
